Why go to therapy?

Great question! The idea of talking to someone about your hard stuff might make you feel like running in the opposite direction! Sometimes it feels safer to keep things bottled up inside. Unfortunately, when we do that what’s on the inside often comes up and out when we don’t expect it. Like a child’s volcano science project…it’s messy! Therapy can help.

When we talk about what we think and feel, we process emotions on a deeper level and work towards resolution. We begin to heal things we might not even realize contribute to our everyday pain. Combine that with learning evidence-based skills and growing in healthy behaviors and lasting change is possible!

Some people ask, “Why go to therapy?” Our answer is, “Why would you not?”
